Privacy

Katalog keeps your music on your Mac. This page lists everything that does leave it, and what this website records. Last updated 19 October 2026.

Your Music Stays on Your Mac

Your audio files, tags, playlists and the library database never leave your Mac. Katalog does not upload them, not for analysis and not for matching. Tempo, key and waveforms are worked out on your Mac. There is no account to make.

What the App Sends

Buying a Licence

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card. Stripe passes us your name and email so we can send your licence key, and we keep them with the key so it can be sent again if you lose it. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the payment.

This Website

musickatalog.com counts visits with its own small script on our own server. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or ad tracking. It records the page, the site you came from, an approximate location (country and city) worked out on our server, and your device type, browser, operating system and language. Your IP address is not stored; a hash that changes every day counts unique visitors. Downloads are counted the same way.

The page loads one typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches that file from Google.

Who Sees It

Only us. We do not sell or share any of it. The services that run parts of this for us are Stripe (payments), Hostinger (the web server) and Titan (the email that sends licence keys).

Your Data, Your Call

Write to info@musickatalog.com to see what we hold about you, or to have it deleted. We keep licence records for as long as the licence exists, so a lost key can be sent again.
